Division of Lifetime Distributions vs Daily Distribution 2.0
CureCoin 2.0 Distribution Spreadsheet Draft is here.
2.0.0.x (Below Table is an updated 2.0 Folding Distribution guide)
For this four year halving period, CureCoins go to three main areas: Folders, Proof-of-Stake Wallet holders, and network maintenance. Daily, of the 5344 publicly available tokens, Protein Folders will compete for 3744 (71%) of tokens while over 1600 (~29%) tokens will be generated by Proof-of-Stake wallet holders (thru December 2021 at which point staking rewards will be re-evaluated). A non-public daily distribution of 213 coins is set aside to pay for Curecoin management, promotions and ongoing development costs such as paying for VPS, network infrastructure, cyber-security services, social media campaigns, hiring associate developers, and giving back to the community in the form of giveaways, airdrops, and covers our built-in “0%” mining/folding pool fees for everyone).
1.0.0.x (shown for reference, deprecated in 2018)
CureCoins go to three main areas: Folders, Miners, and Developers. The folders will get 76% of the total coins (or 80% of the coins distributed per day – see “Day to Day” for more info). SHA256 miners get 19% of the total coins (or 20% of the coins distributed per day). 2% of the total funds were distributed to people who donated to project development in 2014. The remaining 3% is dedicated to Curecoin developers, and will be used for paying for ongoing development costs (such as hiring professional programmers, paying for infrastructure, etc.), and for giving back to the community (folding hardware giveaways, faucets, covering “0%” mining pools, etc.).
In summary, as of the 2018 hard-fork, Folding@home team protein folding participants, SHA256 PoW miners (mining deprecated in 2018) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS) wallet holders combined will receive 94% of CURE token total distribution “to-date”. The remaining 4% is reserved for supporting ongoing blockchain maintenance over the coin’s 100 year mintage, and 2% was distributed as a lump-sum gift to our original Curecoin crowdfund donors. CURE wallet holders can optionally stake their CURE at well over 7% per annum (depending on network and equipment settings).
Each day, Folders as a whole receive 3744 CureCoins to be divided amongst them proportionally. This means that each folder receives (FolderPPD / TeamPPD) * 3744 CureCoins. An example:
| Folder PPD ⇩ | Total Team PPD ⇨ | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000,000 | 10,000,000 | 100,000,000 | 500,000,000 | 1,000,000,000 | |

(YourPPD / TeamPPD) * 3744
Staking rewards start after 4 days “coin age” in your wallet, based on 4 minute block times – averaging 4% per annum.
