My folding output comes from 2 GTX970's, 2 GTX960's , and a R9 270X, plus the odd CPU slot I run occasionally.

In what must be a 10000 to 1 shot, it looks like both 970's and both 960's have died!!! I haven't 100% confirmed that, but the pc's are okay and usable (if using the onboard gpu of an i5 counts as usable 😉 ), but nothing from the graphics cards. No power to fans, no video signal.

I'm still folding on the R9, but my output has taken a massive hit. All 4 cards are still under warranty, so i'll be sending them back. Could be an interesting email exchange though, as I bought them all in a single order.

All at once? Check the power supply!

Ok, after some messing around, I've established that 1 of the 970's is dead. The other 970 (was in the same pc), has power to the fans, and can output a vga signal from the secondary output using the standard 2d display driver. It won't finish loading windows using the Geforce driver.

Ouch sorry to hear that. We baked in an average of ~15% for equipment maintenance in the latest cost calculators, but this is sounding a little pricier. What's the last time you upgraded the drivers too. I have an older AMD system running Vista with an older GTX 555 I used for beta testing, but it became too unstable to use (BSD from either of two boot partitions).

The funny thing is, a gamer wouldn't bat a eyelash at replacing their cards and continuing to play, but with folding it's a little different. Yet another reason for ..... CURE incentives.

Ok, I decided to take advantage of the recent price increase, and sold a sizable chunk of my holdings. I've used the proceeds to order another GTX970 and also participate in the crowd sale.

My original "statement of intent" when I joined the curecoin team, was to use the earnings as a way of offsetting the cost of running f@h. I think this qualifies.

That's definitely proving the fundamental concept of CC 1.0.

Glad to see you were "down but not out". I know you wouldn't accept the token, so I just sent 500 CURE to the Antimicrobial Research UK and Bonfils Blood Transfusion Research funds in your honor.

Thanks wilding2004 for your continued support on this forum.
