so i followed the instructions giving under the Full Illustrated Getting-Started Guide: ATI+NVidia+CPU and i am very confused by the whole thing. first off i made an account at cryptobullionpools as instructed however i don't know how to link my account to my FAH program. The "instructions" never mentioned anything aside from using the same user name you use for FAH when creating your account at cryptobullionpools and i did exactly that and its been a full day and i still have no points... I also felt that the "instructions" stopped at the most important step! HOW DO I EARN THE COINS AND MAKE THEM APPEAR IN MY WALLET! and WHY the hell is that so hard to find the answer to that question!!! Because this cryptobullionpools website is talking about 0 points earned... But im not trying to mine for points ... im trying to mine for coin. So whats up with these points???? I read a post in here that talked about your wallet minting coins and that it needed 30 days or something like that. Whats that all about?? Also can i mine solo??? do i have to be in a pool to mine?? Can someone offer me a step by step beging to end guid on how to obtain these coins through mining or folding...

Hi there,

you made a typo setting up the client. The team number is 224497. you've added a "0" on the end.

Ok, you've obviously got the [email protected] client setup and running correctly, and now you've changed the team number to 224497.

Every time you finish a WU (Work Unit), the client uploads that data back to a server at Stanford and you are credited with a certain amount of points.

You can track how many points you have at http://folding.stanford.edu/home/. (this is how i could tell you used the wrong team number)

The stats server is almost real-time, certainly within an hour.

Every hour, the points from the f@h stats server are copied to the cryptobullions folding pool website, you can track these at http://stats.curecoinfolding.com/daily.html

Once every 24 hours, your 24 points total is converted into CureCoin. It will sit in your account until you withdraw it to your wallet. (you can set this to be automatically every 1 Cure or whatever level you like).

So depending on which time zone you live in, you should have some CureCoin in your account between 24-48 hours after completing and successfully uploading your first WU. Obviously the WU's you completed for team 2244970 won't count as far as earning CureCoin is concerned.

Sorry, I can't help with mining. It's not something I've ever tried. All I know is the mining side of CureCoin is seperate to the Folding pool, which basically just pays us CureCoin to run the F@H software.

Some extra info for you though. If you've used Gpu's to mine in the past, and you plan on using them to Fold instead, it's worth knowing that you won't be able to clock them as high.

What appears to be a stable overclock in a game or benchmark, probably won't be stable in f@h. And all that will happen is the WU will get corrupted and you won't recieve any points for it.

I can help you with that ... I fold and mine concurrently. Unfortunately I think United-Miners just closed their site ... so the other one that's going is http://cure.cryptopools.com/

Start there, and let me know if you need any help.
