Wow, big miss on the part of the writer not to catch us. Still, it would be good for us to make ourselves known to him.

It's interesting to note the ~latest dollar price of Gridcoin GRC compared Curecoin CURE (correct me if I'm wrong on my research)

* GRC  = $0.032
* CURE = $0.065

This highlights the advantage of the [email protected] jobs requiring only a single client to complete the Work Units (jobs are self checking) - whereas Gridcoin folding, using the [email protected] client requires each folding job to have two independent confirmations (therefor two independent folder/miners).

Additionally, even though [email protected] builds on [email protected] research, it becomes evident that Grid jobs require more than 2x the power consumption to complete similar sized folding jobs since Rosetta can only use CPU cores.

This is not to underestimate the value of Gridcoin, but serves to highlight some reasons why F@H based fold/mining should maintain a higher valuation. Gridcoins advantage is that they already have the infrastructure for MANY Distributed Computing projects through BOINC, however for me, this raises two important questions:

1. How do we weigh the value of BOINC projects like Collatz Conjecture Mathematics compared to F@H research on pandemic influenza virus proteins infiltrating human cells (thus potentially saving 150,000 to 600,00 lives each year - on a global scale)?
2. Gridcoin's "Environmental Friendly" claim is VERY true compared to Bitcoin, however it might take over 2x the kilowatts to complete the same number of GFLOPS of a Curecoin job.

Anyway, those are some distinctions that will likely be discussed in the Q&As at Bitcoin Conferences and reporter interview. And again, I think Gridcoin deserves a world of respect for pioneering this concept.
