Profit Calculator - Excel Spreadsheet
I created an Excel spreadsheet to scrape data from a few different websites so that it can calculate your profit.
It's still a bit of a work in progress, but I'd like to share it here for people to see.
Right now it scrapes Extreme Overclocking's FAH stats webpage to get Curecoin difficulty and my points per day. It also scrapes CoinMarketCap for current values of Curecoin and Foldingcoin. It gives nearly perfect guidance on CURE and FLDC earnings each day. The monthly earnings are estimates based on current production, which will drastically change by the end of the month as difficulty is currently still increasing exponentially.
To make it work for you, you need to change the tab for My FAH Stats to scrape data for your own stats. Local currency conversion can be edited too.
If anyone wants it changed for them, I can do so easily and send it to you privately.
You can obtain the preview of the spreadsheet here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AhfJhqmNc9EFxBeFLjJ2VumNA4_J
If anyone has suggestions for changes, please feel free to let me know.
That is awesome! What do I need to do to customize it for my name? I put in my folding name and hit refresh but it didn't update any of the data.
For the time being, I you have to go to the My FAH Stats tab, delete everything and then set up a new web query to scrape that page.
I can do that and send you a copy that will scrape your info if you'd like.
I'm working on rebuilding this in Google Sheets right now to make it more universal for all people. I should hopefully have a link for everyone soon.
On Sheets, the only things you'll need to choose from will be your local currency, and adding your EOC user id #.
Log in to your Google account, save it to your drive and you can edit your local currency (in my case, set to CAD for Canadian Dollar), and your EOC user ID number (In my case: 726189).
If you need any help, just ask, or inquire on the Hangouts chat.
It seems like the google docs spreadsheet is suddenly broken, as its not pulling it the data from extreme overclocking. I can manually put in those numbers as a workaround, but just wondering if you know why it isn't working. Keep up the good work!
a Recent request from the owner of EOC states that he would like for everyone to stop using his site for stats in WordPress/DoogleDoc as these services use "ZERO caching of requests and end up making a LOT of queries for the same data over and over and over." you can read his full response here: https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/
I am looking forward to the update once you have finished it. Please keep us posted.
